Description
There are two grades of carpet available: OE-spec. 80/20 wool/synthetic blend used through 1972, and a 100 percent synthetic used from 1973-’76. Early and Late carpet sets are interchangeable. The specifications of both materials have been upgraded, and the quality now offered is actually superior to the original Triumph quality. The appearance of both types is close to identical to the original. These sets are die-cut with tools which resemble a continuous razor blade embedded in a solid wooden board to produce reliably accurate fit.
The colors black, red, and shadow blue in wool are exactly as original. While the “brown” color we offer differs slightly from the original tan carpet, it is the closest we have found.
All carpet sets have sewn-on pads on the driver’s floor piece and have exactly correct (we re-tooled them that way) half moon “kick pieces.” All have sewn hand brake handle boots in the rear propshaft tunnel covers.
