Adds Extra Protection for your Fuel Tank to Prevent Punctures
The 36-gallon fuel tanks on the 2009-2014 F150s take up a lot of real estate underneath your F150 and they’re extremely vulnerable to damage when you’re yanking your F150 around off-road. RCI’s Fuel Tank Skid Plate solves that problem so that you don’t get stranded with a punctured fuel tank when your horsing around out in the wilderness. RCI’s Fuel Tank Skid Plate bolts right on in place of the stock plastic skid plate on F150s with Ford’s optional off-road package. Alternative, you can order a set of Ford OEM studded fuel tank straps if your truck is not equipped with a factory fuel tank skid plate.
Durable Metal Construction with Easy Installation
RCI’s Fuel Tank Skid Plate is made out of thick metal that keeps your F150’s fuel tank protected in practically any environment or application. The Fuel Tank Skid Plate is constructed out of 10-gauge steel with a black powder coat finish for corrosion protection. The skid plates come with installation hardware and instructions from RCI. For 36-Gallon Tanks Only: this skid plate will only fit F150s equipped with 36-gallon tanks and will not fit trucks with 26-gallon tanks. Please verify your fuel tank size before ordering. Requires Studded Tanks Straps: the skid plate requires OEM studded fuel tank straps like those found on F150s equipped with factory plastic fuel tank skid plates.
