Finally! There is a good reproduction of the Lucas Master Battery Switch fitted to all big Healeys. This is the “short-neck” switch, and should not be confused with the “one size fits all” long-neck switch that is all that has been available since about 1980. Lucas made a variety of battery cutoff switches for a wide range of applications. When they “rationalized” the range to a single part number, the version fitted to the big Healey disappeared. The “long neck” battery switch became so common it was assumed by some to be “original”. When we ran into quality problems with the switches we could buy, we decided we would have to make our own. We took the opportunity to bring back the “short neck” Austin Healey switch at the same time we had the “long neck” version of the switch made. The “short neck” switch can be fit to any vehicle.
